Ambetter Texas ACA Plan Features:

  • Ambetter sells good cheap health insurance, but you should check with your doctors before you buy a plan to make sure they accept the coverage. Ambetter customers have reported issues with finding in-network doctors, even using the company’s online search tool.  
  • Cheap rates and good perks like $0 Telemedicine, vision, dental, and discounts on gym memberships and mental health apps
  • Do require electronic referrals
  • Don’t cover services provided by out-of-network health care professionals, except for emergency services for HMO and EPO plans
  • Offers off-exchange plans with a larger, nationwide PPO network (not subsidy eligible)
