Humana Medicare Supplement Plans in Texas
Humana sells Medicare Supplement (Medigap) insurance in Texas through Humana Insurance Company. Here is how Medigap plans work, and how to compare Humana with other Texas carriers before you enroll.
Humana on the Texas list
Humana Insurance Company appears on the Texas Department of Insurance list of companies with Medicare supplement insurance (last updated 10/1/2026). That list shows which companies sell Medigap in Texas but does not say which plan letters each one offers, so ask which plans Humana offers at your ZIP code before you decide.
The plans most people compare
Medigap plans are standardized, so a plan with a given letter has the same benefits at every company. These are the lettered plans people ask about most. Not every company sells every letter.
| Plan | What it covers |
|---|---|
| Plan G | Nearly identical to Plan F except it does not pay the Part B deductible. It does pay Part B excess charges. It is the plan most new Medicare enrollees choose. |
| Plan N | Pays most of the same costs as Plan G, but you pay copays of up to $20 for some office visits and up to $50 for emergency room visits that do not result in admission. It does not pay the Part B deductible or excess charges. |
| Plan F | The most complete lettered plan: it pays the Part A and Part B deductibles, Part B excess charges, skilled nursing coinsurance and foreign travel emergency costs. Only available if you became eligible for Medicare before January 1, 2020. |
| Plan A | The basic benefits only: Part A coinsurance and hospital costs for up to 365 extra days, Part B coinsurance or copayment, the first 3 pints of blood, and hospice coinsurance. It does not pay any Medicare deductible. |
Before you enroll
Use your open enrollment window
Your Medigap open enrollment period lasts 6 months, starting the first month you are 65 or older and enrolled in Medicare Part B. During it, a company cannot deny you coverage or charge you more because of your health. After it, you may face medical underwriting.
Compare more than one carrier
The same benefits cost different amounts at different companies, and companies price by age, ZIP code and household differently. Always compare at least two or three.
